Festival of Stamps 2010 in Alton July 13, 2010

Every ten years Britain holds a National Festival to commemorate the introduction of the world's first postage stamp in 1840. This year the festival not only marks the 170th anniversary of that event, it also marks the centenary of the accession of King George V, a keen stamp collector, to the throne.

Why not come along to the Allen Gallery for a talk starting at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 13 July given by members of Alton and District Stamp Club.
The intention is to provide an overview of stamp collecting as a hobby and should appeal to all ages!
