Festival of Fairy Tales January 30, 2010

The Junior League of Corpus Christi (JLCC) will host the annual children’s themed Festival of Fairy Tales, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010.
Incorporating children’s well known fairy tales as a backdrop is the mission of the Festival of Fairy Tales co-chairs Michelle Markert and Marisela Palmatier. This interactive event will transport children and their imaginations into a world of games and crafts that explore their favorite books. The children will interact with fairy tale characters and enjoy story time with local celebrity readers. Children are invited to come dressed as characters from their favorite stories.

The Festival will take place on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at the American Bank Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with lunch served from 11 a.m. -1p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $10 per child and include lunch, a gift bag with a book and activities to take home. Proceeds from these events will support educating children and adults of the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle to conquer childhood obesity through projects such as Kids in the Kitchen and Playground Pals.
