Festival at the Fort
Saturday & Sunday
October 10 & 11, 2009
Fort Mason ~ San Francisco
11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Fleet Week Festival at the Fort blends the excitement of the Blue Angels and Canadian Snowbirds annual air and water show with the fun of an outdoor free event on the grounds of the historic Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. The Festival will feature hands-on activities for kids, children’s rides and inflatables, an exhibit from the US Navy in Space program, entertainment with students of Fort Mason’s own Blue Bear School of Music and San Francisco Children’s Arts Center, comfortable seating areas with food, micro beers and gourmet wines.

The Festival is held on the grounds of San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center on Saturday October 11 and Sunday October 12 on the esplanade between historic buildings B and C. Fort Mason Center offers a variety of activities of the highest quality at minimum or no cost, suitable for all ages and interests and the opportunity to experience diversity in a unique environment, focusing on the visual and performing arts, humanities, education, ecology, and recreation.

A National Historic Landmark and part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the Center houses 25 nonprofit organizations and is the setting for more than 15,000 meetings, conferences, performances, and special events attended by 1.5 million visitors each year.

Fleet Week Festival at the Fort is proudly presented by the Fort Mason Foundation whose mission is to administer and develop this unique cultural, educational, and recreational center in partnership with the National Park Service.
