Like each year, as the tradition since the 21st of July 1871 dictates, the spectacular summer festival Feria de Julio is coming to Valencia. Between 2nd and 26th of July the Valencianos and all the tourists can enjoy a huge variety of events, like concerts, Renaissance Fairs, parades, modern art expositions, fireworks, as well as the traditional parts of the programme, like the Certamen Internacional de Bandas de Música (the international music contest) or the breath-taking Batalla de Flores (Battle of Flowers). Don´t miss this spectacular event - The Feria de Julio in Valencia!

The Feria de Julio is one of the most traditional festivals in Valencia which has evolved over time. Nowadays, the festival offers you an extensive calendar of events for each kind of visitor.

The wonderful gardens Jardines de Viveros will once again be the venue of traditional concerts. In this year´s edition Joan Manuel Serrat, Miguel Bosé, La Excepción, Fangoria, Amaral, Chambao, James Taylor, Anastacia and Yann Tiersen among others will perform. The entrance fee will vary between 18€ for the concert of La Excepción and 38€ for James Taylor. You see, the festival is perfect for each budget. Furthermore, famous Valencian voices will captivate you in concerts for free, like Javier Vila, Emilio Solo, Emili Someño with “Dolça Dolçaina Pastoret“, Vicente Ramírez or Dova.

The Palau de la Música organizes the days of 4th, 5th, 10th and 11th of July one of the most important parts of the festival which is over 120 years old; the international music contest.

But if this still isn’t enough: after the huge success last year, the 18th of July will see the celebration of the Gran Nit (Big Night) which will offer you a huge variety of cultural events. Besides, all the museums are open from 22.00 till 02.00h. The entrance is free, of course! The events are spread out through all the city and take place, for example, on the plaza de la Reina, plaza de la Virgen, plaza de los Pinazo, plaza del Ayuntamiento, plaza López Chavarri or Las Torres de Serrano. Last year more than 250.000 visitors participated in this special night.

The last Sunday of the month will be the celebration of the famous Batalla de las Flores (Battle of Flowers) where the beautiful women on the floats decorated with flowers fight against the public throwing thousands of flowers at each other.
