"Wilt thou be gone? It is not yet near day:
It was the nightingale, and not the lark,
That pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear..."
--William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, Act III, Scene 5

Birds have meant many things to many people. They have been a source of wonder for evolutionists and hobbyists. Omens for mystics and romantics. Heroes and villains on the silver screen.

By the same token, the "art scene" has flourished independently in two distinct cities - Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon, each nurturing a garden of homegrown artists.

Suite 100 Gallery is proud to present "Feathered Friends," a group show bringing artists from Seattle and Portland together to honor and interpret these creatures of flight.

"Feathered Friends" is an eclectic tribute to the birds that have colored our lives.
