340 King Street
Newtown, New South Wales 2042

More than 40 stalls showcase the eclectic international cuisines of Newtown Precinct along with Australian wines, boutique beers, confectioners, bakers and ice-cream makers. Sensational entertainment includes all-day music and kids' activities.

Taste the world in one day at Newtown's Feastability festival. Sample produce from:

* Newtown Precinct restaurants, cafes, bakers, confectioners, gelato-makers and coffee merchants

* Local pubs and boutique brewers

* Australian winemakers by the glass

Feastability entertainment is as eclectic and international as the cuisines of the area. In 2007, this will include the Jesse Morris Band, a talented new act that is about to launch Australia-wide in October with the release of their EP through Foghorn Records/MGM. The band is comprised of Newtown locals who are proud to offer you the opportunity to hear the new work at Feastability.

Dereb Deselegn's from Ethiopia and his five piece band will have you up and dancing to the rhythm and beat.

Take a walk into the 1920s with The Blues Preachers, a traditional delta blues duo playing slide guitars, a resonator and a harmonica. Just the thing to accompany that delicious dish and crisp glass of wine!

Don't miss Hoop Empire's energetic and interactive hooping performance. Bunny Hoopstar brings 60 hula hoops with her and will be sure to have a crowd swinging their hips and getting into the hoola hooping craze.

Plus kids' activities.

In the grounds of Newtown High School, 3 minutes walk south of Newtown Train Station.

Presented by Marrickville Council and sponsored by City of Sydney.
