Feast Of Fiddles April 11, 2006

The 13th annual outing of this bunch of friends takes place just before Easter 2006. The apparently simple idea of putting half a dozen or so of the UK?s best fiddlers in front of a folk-rock band has developed an identity all of its own. Each fiddle player brings his own unique style of music, stagecraft, humour ? and fans to the show! The result: a very full evening of sheer unadulterated entertainment entering its 13th year, two live albums in the bag and full houses enjoying every minute.

The Feast of Fiddles ? Lucky for Us Tour will feature Joe Broughton (Albion Band), Ian Cutler (Bully Wee Band), Peter Knight (Steeleye Span), Tom Leary (Tanna), Chris Leslie (Fairport Convention) and Brian McNeill (ex Battlefield Band) and will be backed up as usual by Hugh Crabtree, Dave Harding, John Underwood, Martin Vincent and the incomparable Dave Mattocks.

You can expect spectacle and you will enjoy everything from tear jerking solos to fiddle rally-busting medleys guaranteed to stir even the most reticent soul. But even after all these years the once only tour ensures a fresh and spontaneous quality laced with the unexpected and risky.
