Beloved, popular and admired, Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is one of the greatest musical masterpieces of and for all time. Its psychological portrayal of fate knocking at the door to the final affirmation of human freedom and dignity is sublime. The full triumphal impact on the inner self can only be fully appreciated in live performance by a great orchestra enjoyed locally amongst friends and neighbors.

The concert will also feature star violinist Ellen Ong Performing the 1st. movement of Wieniawski's Violin Concerto No. 2, Opus 22 with PCS!

Ellen Ong, a resident of San Francisco started studying the violin at the age of nine. She has been taking private lessons under the instruction Mr. Zuo Han Pan since age 10. Ellen is a member of the Lowell String Quartet, and has made charity performances around school as well as in Alumni events. She is a senior at Lowell High School and currently serves as concert master of Lowell High School's Symphony String Orchestra. She will make her debut today, appearing as a soloist for the Pacific Chamber Symphony
