In a unique mix of Africa and America, reggae, blues, jazz and hip hop rhythms blend with the dance and music of West Africa’s Mandingue people. Farafina Kan presents a special weekend full of music, dance and song dedicated to our parents and communities who have equipped us with the tools necessary to continue the mission of preserving African culture through music and dance. The weekend also serves as a farewell concert for Farafina Kan, before the company embarks on its first trip to Guinea West Africa to continue its studies and perform throughout the country.
*Sunday’s 4:00pm performance is part of the Family Series: Free for one child 12 & under with a paying adult!
