WHO & WHAT
Family to Family Network (F2F) invites families to fly kites and enjoy an afternoon outside with friends at their inaugural Kite Event. Just as a kite lifts to the sky, F2F wishes to promote Success for Children with Disabilities by helping them soar to new heights of achievement. The event offers a great opportunity for families of children with disabilities to learn more about the resources F2F offers and connect with other families who might be new to the organization or are already involved in the Network.

The day will include engaging activities for families including performances from Theatre Under the Stars’ (TUTS) The River Performance & Visual Arts Center, which provides affordable fine arts education for kids with disabilities, chronic illnesses or economic disadvantages; Herd of Cows presented by Chick-fil-a; and All Star Martial Arts, which specializes in training for children with disabilities. Grant Manier of Grant’s Eco Art, named a 2013 Bayou City Art Festival “New Rising Talent”, will also be displaying some of his masterpieces, which are created out of recycled paper.

Food and beverages can be purchased from vendors serving the park area. Kites will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own. The event is free and open to the public.

WHY
Family to Family Network (F2F) helps families with children with disabilities by providing information, training, referrals and support. For almost 20 years, we have assisted families in building relationships with their schools; effectively communicating their child’s needs, and creating positive visions for the future. We challenge the community to think about POSSIBILITIES for children with disabilities.
