FALL FESTIVAL
Saturday & Sunday
September 19 & 20
10:00 am-4:00 pm
FREE ADMISSION

The heritage and history portion of the Fall Festival celebrates our rich past with events and programs for children and adults. Children can play hoop and stick, stilts, tug-of-war, marbles, blocks, Lincoln logs, drop the clothes pin, checkers, puzzles, games, crafts, role play, pretend pioneer life, and more. Adults will love our historic cabin, quilting, programs, presentations, demonstrations, music, and more. Refreshments will be available. Plan now to spend a few hours celebrating our heritage. A Children’s Craft Area will have a variety of crafts; there will be some old favorites and some new that are sure to become favorites.

There will be live animal programs in the theatre room each day. Be sure to check the schedule for times and program content. Visitors can see a presentation on native Michigan animals, exotics, and a “Snakes Alive” program each day.

On Saturday there will be a special presentation on Hawk Migration. It will include information on native raptors, migrating raptors, what to do if you find an injured raptor, protecting our raptors and how wind farms are affecting their migration. Call for exact time.

The Solid Waste & Recycling Committee will have an exhibit that will show composting, recycling and more. Many informational handouts will be available to take home. Children can color a picture about recycling and will be rewarded with a free recycling coloring book.

Don’t forget to stop in the nature center to go through our river display
and to see the NEW LEARNING TREE.
