François Truffaut, 1966, 112 min.

This adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic novel explores the extremes of censorship, centering around a society where all printed material is banned. Guy Montag, a fireman whose job it is to burn books, begins to question his job when he meets Clarisse and begins to steal, and read, the forbidden literature.

Part of The Future of the Past: Utopia/Dystopia, 1965-1984.
