Twenty dollars is all it takes to benefit from a rare, open-to-the-public event taking place Saturday, April 24, 2010 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Seattle Design Center (www.seattledesigncenter.com). Eye on Design 2010 offers the public access to the best in home design, from stunning mantles to beds fit for a queen, along with the opportunity to hear from HGTV's Design Star and host of Color Splash David Bromstad (www.bromstad.com.) Bromstad will present from 10 - 11 a.m. about the power of color to give new life to any space. From 1 - 2 p.m., Bromstad will paint two custom canvases to be donated to Rise n' Shine (www.risenshine.org), a local organization providing support programs for children and teens affected by HIV and AIDS.
