833 Broadway @13th Street, 3rd Floor
New York, New York

In the 1950's and 60's painters used unconventional methods to express themselves. They poured paint on the floor and used techniques such as staining, wet into wet, and collage. In this class we will use the same methods as a jumping point to express ourselves. The emphasis will be on the process and the journey, while we experiment with paint properties and relax our minds and escape the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Instructor Greg Kessler has 17 years of experience as a painter. He has had solo shows in New York, Texas, and Washington,D.C. Recently, he was in a group show at Columbia University. He received a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon and an MFA from Yale. Greg believes in the transformative power of art to re-energize, connect, and change the individual in a profound way.

Art supplies included. $35. Call 212-674-7437 or email [email protected] to reserve your spot.
