A variety of music experiences designed to relieve stress and encourage relaxation will be introduced by board-certified music therapist Maya Benattar. These experiences include: drumming, music-assisted meditation & guided imagery, humming/toning, singing, and guided music listening. The concept of using music as a coping technique will be presented along with ideas and resources for your own personal use. Ms. Benattar holds an MA in Music Therapy from New York University and a BS in Music Therapy from SUNY New Paltz. A singer for many years, she enjoys helping people use music to find a “creative space for growth and exploration within our busy lives.” Pre-registration is required.
