Documentary filmaker Richard Hilton will screen his latest movie

“Explorers of the Lucid Dreamworld”

Ventura, Calif—There will be a free, one night only screening of Richard Hilton's documentary film “Explorers of the Lucid Dream World”, Thursday, September 16th, 7pm, at the Topper Room in the Foster Libraty. The screening will be followed by a forum on Lucid Dreaming with filmmaker Richard Hilton.

The documentary covers the scientific, psychological, and spiritual aspects of lucid dreaming and includes formal interviews with experts such as Dr. Stephen LaBerge from the Lucidity Institute, Dr. Fariba Bogzaran from the Lucid Art Foundation, Keelin from the Lucidity Institute, and Dr. Alan Wallace from the Santa Barbara Institute of Consciousness Studies.

With the recent movie Inception, the interest in Lucid Dreaming has only increased. What is a Lucid Dream? A Lucid Dream is specifically a dream in which the dreamer becomes aware that he or she is dreaming while in the dream. And during that dream make choices that can affect and influence the course of the dream. This is also an ability that can be learned, and various techniques will be presented at this event. Lucid dreaming is very much a new frontier of exploration. It is only recently that researches have been investigating lucid dreaming and while more is now known about this phenoma, even more remains to be discovered.

The forum on Lucid Dreaming following the screening will be moderated by documentary filmmaker, Richard Hilton and dream facilitators James Wapotich, life coach (360 Awareness Coaching), Laurel Lyons, Certified Usui and Reiki Master and Jonah Haas, Cultural Anthropologist.

This screening is free and open to the public Wednesday, September 15th, 7:00pm at the Karpeles Manuscript Library, 21 W. Anapamu St, Santa Barbara.
