The Green Resolutions Ride is back on for Sat. February 23, 10:30 AM!

Join C.I.C.L.E. and friends as we explore the Silver Lake and Los Feliz neighborhoods by bicycle in search of green and sustainable living ideas on our Urban Expeditions “Green Resolutions Ride”.

The Green Resolutions Ride meets on Saturday February 23, at 10:30 AM at the Silver Lake Recreation Center Park.

Our first stop on the route is the Silver Lake Farmer's Market where Amy Bowen of EarthWorks Community Farm, will engage us in an informal discussion about the importance of supporting local agriculture and LA’s Farmer’s markets. Eco-Home is the second stop where we will embark on a self-guided tour of this retrofitted California-style bungalow turned living research center, that demonstrates ecological living in an urban environment. Enjoy an informative Q&A with the homestead owner, who just happens to be carfree. On the return, we’ll swing by the Bicycle Kitchen, an energetic community-run, DIY bike-repair space, and meet with some of the “cooks" that help to create bike-magic at the Kitchen.

The Green Resolutions ride is open to everyone at no charge, and families are encouraged to participate in the ride. Rides are short, leisurely paced, and perfect for the beginning rider. Bikes should be in good running order, and all participants under 18 must wear a helmet. Children under age 9 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device.
