Everglades Skyway Support MPO February 22, 2007

The Everglades Skyway Coalition needs YOUR help! On Thursday, February 22nd, the county board that makes all of the transportation decisions in Miami-Dade (the Metropolitan Planning Organization) will be voting on a resolution to support the construction of an 11 mile bridge over the Everglades. This project is key to restoring the ecosystem, and getting the support of Miami-Dade County is crucial in convincing out state and federal legislators that this is an important project.



The MPO has heard this issue once before, and were encouraged by the show of citizen support for the Skyway in the audience. We need to show them that the people of Miami-Dade care about the future of the Everglades. Please come out to the MPO meeting and show your support!
