Everett, Washington

Last year the City of Everett pioneered a fantastic, fun-filled family event at Legion Memorial Park. The 2009 line-up of events is just as stellar, with music ranging from country to rock and soul as well as a delicious selection of food vendors, beer and wine garden, and free activities for children. Returning downtown in the morning this year are the community’s beloved traditions including the YMCA’s Yankee Doodle Dash and the annual parade. This year's parade theme, The Colors of Freedom, celebrates the tremendous diversity that exists in our rich and vibrant community. The day will conclude with a stunning display of traditional fireworks, put on by the Everett Fourth of July Foundation, against a pristine Puget Sound backdrop. The show last year gained prime media coverage, and was viewed by thousands in the Everett, Mukilteo, Marysville, and Tulalip communities.
