The Evanston Escola de Samba (Evanston Samba School) features musicians of diverse cultural and musical backgrounds brought together into an ensemble that performs a wide range of Brazilian music. Their programs range from the raw Carnaval street Samba to the sophisticated Choro to the sensuous Bossa Nova to the classic works of Villa- Lobos.
