ETHEL, the nation's premier rock-infused, postclassical string band, curates a high-octane, genre-busting concert featuring world premiere works by contemporary composers, and multi-media performances with special guest artists. As part of Symphony Space’s New Music Champions series, the 2nd Annual ETHEL FAIR is in celebration of the group’s long-standing, cherished artistic collaborations from the past decade. Joining ETHEL is a passionate lineup including bluegrass legend Dean Osborne, pixie-songstress Jill Sobule, “free-range” punk-jazz quartet gutbucket, GRAMMY Award-winning harmonica legend Howard Levy, and slam poet Rives. Highlighting the program is the world premiere of Mark Stewart’s On the Origin of the Species for four daxophones, created especially for ETHEL and this concert.

General $25-30. Students $15.
