In 'Puss in Boots,' Christophe, the Miller's son, deprived of his rightful inheritance, is left nothing but a pet cat, Puss, that however proves to be a valuable property for, through his daring antics, he contrives to have his master made a Marquess, makes it possible for him to win a princess for his bride and finally disposes of a wicked enchanter.
