The Environment Agency's annual conference, Environmental futures 07: adapting to change
is taking place on 5 – 6 November 2007, at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London SW1.

Climate change has moved firmly out of the scientific arena and into the mainstream - central to policy-making, business and investment decision-making and the provision of local public services. Over the next decade and beyond, we will all have to adapt the way we live, work and consume to weather the impacts our past behaviour has had on the environment and the climate. At the same time we need to bring together innovative policy, technological and public responses that will drive us towards the longer-term goal of a low carbon economy.

Environmental futures 07: adapting to change will combine international perspectives from government, business, the investment community and others with interactive discussion and problem-solving. It will provide a major national platform for debate on adapting to and mitigating climate change; the risks and opportunities for the UK and global economies, and move us towards practical solutions for a climate-changed world.
