SAN FRANCISCO (Aug 3, 2004) ? Cinefemme is pleased to announce Entrée: Indulge in Cinematic Delights! Entrée reveals the fruits of last year?s RAW: Work in Progress benefit and is the second in the series of benefits for Cinefemme?s Film and Leadership Incubator Program (FLIP).

Cinefemme's Film Leadership Incubator Program (FLIP) trains women to be leaders in the film industry. Cinefemme encourages and trains women to become leaders in the film industry by assisting in them in bring their emerging projects to the screen.

Entrée screenings include short films by Michelle Kantor, Heide Foley, Sahra Girshick and Katrina Hart Drabkin. Filmmakers will be on hand for discussion of their work. The event offers the community a unique opportunity to meet local filmmakers and share in their creative process. Filmmakers receive valuable feedback on projects, while donors get a taste of the films before they debut.

Entrée includes a no-host reception wine bar, mellow groove music by DJ Reverend Kathy Russell from Austin, Texas and a silent auction of artwork, jewelry, restaurant dinners, and theater tickets.

Michelle Kantor
- Consciousness is not always a choice for inner space drifters. In Bettina in the Fog, director Michelle Kantor offers an insider's view of the little understood brain disorder, epilepsy.

Heide Foley
- Director Heide Foley presents a video collage tribute celebrating the outrageous life and sublime artwork of legendary Bay Area artist Jean Varda.

Sahra Girshick
- Nest is a short poetic film, by Sahra Girshick, about Lucy, a young woman living with her grandmother Mary in a rough San Francisco neighborhood. When Mary's favorite tree is threatened with removal, Lucy builds a bird's nest in an effort to protect the tree from being cut down.

Katrina Hart Drabkin
- In Silk, Cynthia receives an unexpected gift on her birthday that changes the course of her life. Director Katrina Hart Drabkin explores how Cynthia transforms through out the course of her birthday party, using the motif of silk, cocoons and butterflies to convey the transitory nature of existence.
