1.5 General Recertification Credit

U.S. law requires employers to hire only individuals who may legally work in the United States. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Social Security Administration (SSA) make it easy for employers to quickly confirm the employment eligibility of new hires via E-Verify(R), a free, Web-based service.

E-Verify(R) is the electronic extension of the Form I-9 and employers are now using E-Verify(R) at more than one million worksites across the nation. Visit the Getting Started section on the E-Verify(R) Web site to see System Requirements and a description of the enrollment process. Lean more about E-Verify(R) by joining us for a live webinar conducted by DHS experts.
