The EMERGENCY collective will be hosting our first public event this
Thursday. The event will raise funds fully supporting the launching
of the project and build-out of our space, which in turn will play
host to a variety of interesting projects and public events in the
near future. Please read on, come out, revel and support. There
will be go karts.

EMERGENCY is a group of multi-disciplinary artists and media creators
who recognize and are responding to the manifold environmental, social
and political crises facing society today. This will be our first
public event. EMERGENCY's members are developing a 40,000 square
foot home base in Chelsea, New York, as a laboratory for
our projects and ideas. The building will house a biodeisel
conversion station, studios, and various projects aimed at instigating
dialogue about the challenges we face on a global scale in these
times. The build-out of the space will rely heavily upon re-used
materials and sustainable technologies, in keeping with the ethos of
the project. This event will help to fund that build-out.

There will be electric go-karts created by The 62 for racing,
sculpture by Thomas Beale, free beer, and great live music. The
project members will be on hand to greet the public. Come out, revel,
and support.
