Embodying the Goddess - A Weekend of Sacred Workshops July 17, 2009

In India, reverence is given to the Divine Feminine or the Wisdom and Energy of Consciousness. The manifestation of this Divine Shakti or the Powers of the Divine Mother is revealed through various Goddesses. Each of these special workshops includes a discourse on a particular power or Goddess and through the utilization of Body (Yoga), Mind (Chanting the sounds of the power), and Breath (Pranayamas), we will begin the process of opening our selves to these higher energies. Wear comfortable clothing and come prepared for an ecstatic experience! All workshops open to Men and Women.

FRI 7/17, 6:30pm-9:30pm GODDESS LAKSHMI: Goddess of Abundance, Beauty, and Bliss. Represents the total unfoldment of ourselves, especially in the material realm. She is the manifestation of love, beauty, wealth and joy into our lives. Lakshmi is located in the Heart Chakra

SAT 7/18 10am-1pm GODDESS DURGA: Warrior Goddess of Protection Represents the ability to protect those whom we love. She stands for the truth. She protects us from difficulties both inner and outer. Located in the Root Chakra, she activates the Kundalini Energy.

2pm-5pm GODDESS SARASWATI: Goddess of Knowledge & The Arts Represents the power of expression, through speaking; singing, writing, creating in any form. She also is the keeper of all spiritual sciences, knowledge, memory and intelligence. Saraswati is located in the Throat Chakra.

SUN 7/19 12:30pm-3:30pm GODDESS KALI: Goddess of Transformation Represents the ability to release those aspects of self which are false and/or no longer necessary in our lives. To take on the strength required to let go. To create and transform energies in our lives into a higher state of being. Kali is located in the Heart Chakra

Kamala Easton traveled and lived in India for 11 years, devoted to the Goddess, bringing the energies of each of Her manifestations into her own vibration. She is an educator and researcher for over 20 years and holds a B.A. from Berkeley in Psychology & Ph.D. from UCLA in education focusing on motivation. Kamala has practiced energy healing for the past 16 years and is affiliated with the UCLA Pediatric Pain Program. She has been featured on the Discovery Channel and appeared in the PBS series "Healing Quest".
