MATHEMATICS LECTURE

Dr. Kota Murali,
Research Laboratory for Electronics,
MIT, Cambridge, USA.

will give a talk on

Electromagnetically Induced Transparency and Spin
Detection using Superconducting Quantum Circuits

at 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 7th March 2006 in the Lecture Hall (G-16) of
the TIFR Centre.

Abstract : These are two interesting topics in condensed matter/
device physics and I would give a flavour of physics behind EIT and spin
detection. From mathematical point of view it would motivate some
interesting eigenvalue estimation for transparency phenonmena and also
non-linear dynamics related to quantum devices base superconducting circuits.
