"El Torito" Hector Acosta in Concert August 14, 2010

O & A Entertainment and the Greensboro Coliseum Complex have announced Hector “El Torito” Acosta will perform at Greensboro’s War Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, August 14.

For years, the music from the Dominican Republic that has filled dancehalls all over the world is the merengue and the most distinctive and beloved voice of the genre is that of Hector Acosta. First introduced to the tropical music world as vocalist for the famous Toros Band, Acosta left the group in 2006 to form his own orchestra. His debut album, Sigo Siendo Yo, was released that same year and contained the hit singles “Me Voy” and “Primavera Azul.” Mitad, Mitad was released in 2008 followed by Simplemente..El Torito in 2009.
