Don't miss the 40th Anniversary Concert of El Chicano with Special Guests LAVA plus Los Cochinos in celebration of the DVD release "Into the Eye of the Storm". This unique concert will be held on October 24th at the Avalon Night Club.

EL CHICANO
One of the most successful bands to emerge from the fertile grounds of East Los Angeles was El Chicano. With the cultural awakening of the Mexican-American and the new Chicano conciousness on the rise and in full swing, El Chicano became a leader in the movement.El Chicano, who went on to record seven albums and to chart top hits such as "Viva Tirado", "Tell Here She's Lovely", "Oye Cayuco" and "Sabor A Mi", among many others, reunite after many years.

With Special Guests LAVA
The band Lava is different from other Latin Bands, because they are able to play different styles of Latin music such as: Latin Jazz, Cha-Cha-Cha, Latin Rock, Latin Funk and Salsa. Lava covers such artists as Santana, Malo, Poncho Sanchez and War. They also play a number of standards that have been in the top 40 many times over the past thirty years. Lava has had the privilege of opening for headliners such as Sapo, Malo, Pete Escovedo, and former lead vocalist of Tower of Power Lenny Williams.

San Francisco's Los Cochinoshave played throughout Northern California and have created a following of loyal fans who appreciate their pure Latin Rock sound, reminiscent of bands such as Santana and El Chicano.
