"Ek Jhalak": A glimpse of South Asia Gala November 22, 2003

Sponsored by NYU's South Asian Students Association (Shruti). The program will commence at 8 pm in the Rosenthal Pavilion of the Kimmel Center. Literally translating to "a glimpse" [of South Asia, "Ek Jhalak" will showcase a variety of performers talented in South Asian arts and crafts. It will also feature the mouth-watering cuisines of the region. To conclude the evening, there will be dancing accompanied by music from an NYU dj, spinning a variety of different styles, including bhangra, garba, and hiphop.
