the second international youth congress
on globalization and environment

What are the links between world trade and environment? What can we do
to stop transnational corporations (TNCs) from making profit on the
backs of environment, nature and people? How does free trade affect
people's lives, especially in the global south?

If you would like to discuss these and other questions with 100 other
young activists, have fun and find creative ways of taking your protest
to the streets, then Eco'n'action is the right place for you! Organized
by BUNDjugend (Young Friends of the Earth Germany), Eco'n'action II is
the second international youth congress on globalization and environment
and will take place in Berlin from December 8th - 11th - just a few days
before the WTO's next ministerial conference in Hong Kong.

Look forward to four days packed with information and action! There will
be workshops on subjects such as the World Trade Organisation (WTO),
case studies, alternatives, different forms of action and much, much
more! Delicious vegan/vegetarian food, a fun cultural programme and
opportunities for networking. Look at the programme at www.eco-n-action.de

The congress will take place at the RAW-Tempel in Berlin, a former
factory and now home to several alternative projects. The participation
fee is 45 Euros including lodging, vegetarian/vegan food, workshops and
a varied cultural programme. We are able to reimburse train ticket costs
according to BUNDjugend guidelines. If you have European travel costs,
please contact us. The sooner you register, the better!
