"Ecological Grief & the Ecological Self" at Oct. Sierra Club meeting

The Sierra Club Chinook Group hosts a monthly meeting series on the 1st Wed. of every month from 7 to 9 pm at the Calgary Area Outdoor Council at 1111 Memorial Drive NW.

Mishka Lysack, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary and a family therapist at the Calgary Family Therapy Centre, will present on "Ecological Grief and the Ecological Self." Ecological grief is a term used to describe the sense of loss, despair, and grief that growing numbers of people are feeling with respect to the loss of species and the degradation of the environment, what Macy calls a new pivotal psychological reality.
