November 15 marks the date and the band will be in Detroit only a couple of weeks before to celebrate this milestone. Echo and the Bunnymen began their notorious post-punk sound back in 1978 and became one of the leaders of this landmark ?80s sound. Singles such as ?The Cutter? ?The Killing Moon? and ?Lips Like Sugar? secured Echo and the Bunnymen a place in musical infamy. Bands such as Coldplay, Interpol and The Flaming Lips have cited Echo and the Bunnymen as heavy influences on their sound. Relive the sound, as the band?s first five albums will be re-released in October, and then catch them live at the Majestic Theatre in late October. $25, 8PM, all ages.
