Facing Peak Oil: Personal Planning in Community
Facilitator: Janet Kobren

Free discussion on whatever personal issue(s) participants want to
talk about. Here are some topics to consider as a starting off point:

How do you talk to others about peak oil, especially those who don't
want to hear about it (or any of its close relatives like water,
topsoil, climate change)? What is your motivation for wanting to
talk about it? (possibly a continuation of the discussion from
11/8/06 SFOA meeting)

How do you talk to someone very close to you, like a partner or
spouse you live with, about making changes when they say things
like, "I understand, but I want to have my comfort?"

What are you not willing to give up and why? What's your "story"
regarding how you rationalize how you're living?

What's your "story" about how it's going to play out?

Thoughts about: "...The cure for scarcity is not abundance; the cure
for scarcity is trust."

CLEANUP

A chance for people new to Peak Oil to discuss ideas presented
during the meeting.
