Announcing the much anticipated EarthFair 2009 at Grand Central Terminal in New York City!

On Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th Earth Day New York will once again transform five city blocks in the heart of Manhattan into a two-day festival of music, environmental education, and fun. Renovations have been completed at Grand Central Station and as a result EarthFair will have both indoor (Vanderbilt Hall) and outdoor (Vanderbilt Avenue) venues, making '09 the biggest and best EarthFair yet.

EarthFair will be held Friday April 24th (12pm-7pm) and Saturday April 25th (11am-5pm) and is FREE to visitors. A large exhibit area highlighting not-for profits, green businesses, organic food and environmental groups will include interactive displays that will not only educate, but provide an opportunity to take positive action for the environment. EarthFair also features live musical entertainment including numerous well-known performers and New York City-based bands.

In addition, Giant Earth Images will illuminate the historic Grand
Central Terminal's soaring main concourse with inspiring
environmentally themed quotes, messages, photographs and graphic
images contributed by artists that have included Rafal Olbinski, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Keith Haring. The show, projected onto two of the north columns in the concourse, will run 10 hours a day from April 20th through April 27th.

Public transportation to the event: 4, 5, 6, 7 or Times Square Shuttle to GRAND CENTRAL
