Eagle Award Event November 14, 2009

The African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida will recognize business excellence in the African American community during its Eagle Award Ceremony at World Showplace at Epcot, 1910 Avenue of the Stars, Buena Vista, Florida, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 7:00 in the evening.

“At the Chamber, we focus on providing the right balance of corporate initiatives to our members to help ensure long-term growth and stability in the marketplace,” states Ronald O. Rogers, Chamber Board Chairman. “This year’s Eagle Award Ceremony will celebrate outstanding performance, exemplary business contributions, and laudable successes by businesses headquartered in Central Florida.” The event hosts attendees from across the state, including entrepreneurs, prominent business leaders, and public officials. “I am always pleased to see the outpour of community interest when we honor business excellence,” notes Dr. Robert M. Spooney, Chamber Executive Director.

The Chamber is seeking customer or vendor nominations for Entrepreneur of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year, Corporate Recognition, and the Eagle Award. Award criterion is included on the nomination form found on the Chamber’s website.

Walt Disney World Resort is the event’s title sponsor, with collaboration from the Orlando Magic serving as a gold sponsor. The Chamber welcomes additional corporate groups interested in being involved in the celebration through sponsorship.
