The Good People @ Dujeous Present Two of NYC's Fiercest Mic Controllers

AKIR(VIPER RECORDS)[The Source's "Unsigned Hype/XXL's Chairman's Choice]

SUBCON(EASTERN CONFERENCE RECORDS)[Three-Time "Braggin' Writes Battle Champion]

Maybe, it was the first concert he saw (Run DMC and the Fat Boys) or the first album he owned (Public Enemy?s It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back) that sparked his creative flame for hip-hop. But, the turmoil in his early surroundings and his struggles throughout life is what ignited the hunger to later develop the artist A.K.I.R.. The acronym and the promise to ?Always Keep It Real,? gave him a name and a prophecy to live by.
Akir has just released his first full-length album entitled "LEGACY" and has new cameos on various projects [Dujeous, Backwoodz Studioz, and Immortal Technique's (Revolutionary Vol.2)]. He recently received the honor of The Source Magazine's ?Unsigned Hype? (Jan/Feb 2005), XXL's Chairman's Choice (Oct. 2005) and has performed on six domestic tours including Vans? Warped Tour 2004. AKIR's vocals are, to say the least, persuasive, melodious, and addictive. His flow is compelling and vividly euphonic with lyrics that are a testament to hip-hop in its purest form.

SubCon solo career began in the venues of NYC, terrorizing the open mic scene as both a poet and a lyricist and making a name for himself as a skilled wordsmith and poised battle champion. His theatre training from a performing arts high school began fermenting through his flows, and his enigmatic stage presence got the attention of listeners who were challenged by his intricate rhyme schemes.
With an immense vocabulary, knowledge of world history, and a dedication to uplifting consciousness in his song content, SubCon is setting the pace for next-generation emcees. In early 2005 he released The Holdoverz as a prelude to his most recent project, SubTalk(Eastern Conference Records). His goal with the new album is to present a solid array of prolific songs, and to display the tangible substance that supports his affluent vernacular. With DJ Eli handling the production, SubTalk focuses on the silent energies behind the music. It will definitely be one to watch for in Spring 2006!
