Dubconscious takes the universally loved sound of reggae and modifies it toward progressive goodness that bends the knees and broaden the listener's idea of modern music. Few current reggae acts bring such a wide spectrum of music lovers. The music is unoffensive and widely played in local bars and restaurants. They have opened and played alongside established greats such as Burning Spear, The Slip, The Wailers, Steel Pulse, Culture, The Meditations and Robert Walter's 20th Congress. In their hometown of Athens Georgia, Dubconscious is part of a large and growing community of amazing musicians that feed off of each others music, wisdom and friendship. This eclectic band plays a mix of jazz, Tejano, funk and hip-hop in a dub format.
