*** THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED ***

Since the recent re-launch of http://www.whitehouse.gov/ on Drupal along with a recession causing everyone to look at cutting costs, the demand for Drupal-related skills have sky-rocketed, from designers who can understand Drupal theming to Information Architects and performance gurus.

The trouble is, with over 6,000 contributed modules and uses ranging over a number of different industries, it's often a miss-and-hit approach to finding the right team to deliver your project, so here in Brighton we have decided to do something about it and start up a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering Drupal projects. Rather than just be a loosely-joined team, we're working according to the principles and methods set out in Ken Thompson's book "The Networked Enterprise - Competing for the Future Through Virtual Enterprise Networks", available at all good bookstores…

We would love to have more of you join our community - whether you're a copywriter, a designer, a coder, a sales person, PR, etc., we welcome you all, so long as you're passionate about what you do!

We have the embryonic beginnings of a web-presence at http://drushi.com, however we feel that showing you what we do would be far more beneficial, and may help you decide to join us, or indeed use our services for your project.

Our team currently consists of CMS & Drupal expert Steve from http://purkiss.com; Information Architect, Project Manager and Drupal developer Guy from http://blue-bag.com; Drupal developer Adnan from http://codesetter.com; and designer Dan who's currently off on honeymoon: http://wedding.bohea.co.uk/. We also have members from around the world - Finland, Sweden and Australia to name a few - who are just waiting for their first opportunity to collaborate on a project, but obviously they won't be popping over to Brighton for this event…!

As Dan's away this month we thought we'd do a dry-run of our inevitable 'formal' launch at this month's Drupal Brighton, with the format as follows:

* 7pm Introduction from Steve Purkiss
* 7.15pm The benefits of collaboration - Guy & Steve
* 7.30pm Collaboration in action - an introduction to our work on the Cartoon Network project - Adnan & Steve
* 7.45pm Q&A
* 8pm Networking then pub…

We'll be in the big meeting room upstairs at http://theskiff.org in downtown Brightoncisco, if you end up with lots of iphone developer talk around you it's because you're downstairs at the other meeting planned for that night!
