For over 2,500 years, Buddhists have practiced the art of depicting holy forms in paintings and statues. In this course, you will receive in-depth instruction on how to draw an authentic image of Buddha’s face and discover the beauty of this ancient artistic practice.

We are very fortunate to have Catherine Lignier, a qualified Kadampa artist with a depth of experience in the sacred arts of gilding, sculpting, painting, drawing and casting as the Teacher for this special course. She has been working on NKT Temple projects since 2001 for KMC's in New York, Toronto, Texas, England, Switzerland and Brazil. Most recently, Catherine went to Sarasota to paint and gild the Buddha Shakyamuni for the KMC Florida Temple. Catherine has trained Kadampa artists on a variety of projects, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share her experience and knowledge with the students of California.

Everyone is welcome. Cost includes a vegetarian lunch. Space is limited; please register early.
