Dr. John plays Benefit in Brooklyn for SoulFire4TheGulf August 26, 2011

Dr. John returns to Brooklyn to instigate and collaborate with Mz. imani and the Rhythm Shamans, Aliza Hava, Sera Solstice and other friends for a night of Music, Mojo and Merry Making. This benefit concert is to raise funds to support SoulFire4TheGulf.

SoulFire4TheGulf is a healing ceremony, envisioned and instigated by Dr. John and Mz. imani and Turtle Women Rising. Our purpose is to bring Elders and Grandmothers, Medicine Women and Men of All Nations together to pray for the people, the land and the waters of the Gulf. It is a gathering unlike any we know of and one that can inspire the human collective to participate in a Living Prophecy that is dedicated to revitalize the soul of a people and a planet in crisis.

SoulFire4TheGulf will be held in New Orleans area sometime in late 2011 or early 2012 is held under the 501c3 of Turtle Women Rising.
