Dr. Howard Markel Discusses His New Book September 12, 2011

UM Professor and medical historian Howard Markel, MD, PhD, discusses his new book, "An Anatomy of Addiction: Sigmund Freud, William Halsted, and the Miracle Drug Cocaine." The book gives an account of the years-long cocaine use of two icons in the annals of medicine. One became the father of psychoanalysis, the other, of modern surgery. The event includes a book signing with books available for purchase.
