The Down Home Blues and Country Festival will be providing some of the UK’s finest Country, Nu-Blues and Americana around, on one bill, over three days, in the heart of the beautiful Sussex countryside.
Steering away from the commercial end of these genres, this festival goes back to the real tradition of songwriting - if you’re looking for tame Sunday afternoon pub bands covering the standards, then you’ve come to the wrong farmyard.
And it really is in a farmyard! With two stages, both covered, nothing short of a tornado weather-wise can put a dampener on this celebration of finely crafted musical mayhem, which will have you dancing like a dervish, or crying gently into your beer.
The festival is deliberately being kept small - with both stages under cover, in order to maintain the kind of intimacy you’d enjoy at a regular gig (who wants to be standing about three miles from the stage listening to the whole deal through delay towers, with the sound blowing around like a lonely steer lost in the desert?).
So- for all you real music lovers and life enjoyers out there, see you Down Home!
ACTS INCLUDING: HEY NEGRITA, THE MOUNTAIN FIREWORK COMPANY, THE LOVE BIRDS, TWO FINGERS OF FIREWATER & MANY MANY MORE
