Dorchester Open Studios October 21, 2006

On Saturday and Sunday, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., about 80 visual artists will exhibit their work. Dorchester's three artist studio buildings - Humphreys Street (11 Humphreys St., near Uphams Corner); Pearl Street/Ahimsa Studios (11 Pearl St., near Savin Hill) and Walter Baker Lofts (1231 Adams St., in Lower Mills) will be open, as will African Winter Gallery (21 Oldfields Road) and the offices of DotArt (1775A Dorchester Ave.), which provides art programs to children and teens in Dorchester. In addition, about 50 artists who don't have studios in Dorchester will be exhibiting at the historic First Parish Church in Dorchester (11 Parish St., Meetinghouse Hill) or the Great Hall in Codman Square.
