Domestic Violence Awareness Month October 1, 2009

Co-sponsored by CASA Kane County

A panel of professionals will outline the sequence of events in domestic violence cases. An actual 911 call will be played and police officers will discuss how they respond. From the Kane County Domestic Violence Courtroom, Lisa Accardi, 1st Chair Assistant State’s Attorney, and Judge Robert Morrow will explain how cases are charged, prosecuted and sentenced. Community Crisis Center representatives will discuss affects of abuse on victims and children and provide information on services and counseling.
