A unique evening of jazz and poetry will be presented at the Williamsburg Library Theatre, 515 Scotland Street, as part of the Ewell Concert Series at the College of William and Mary. Acclaimed poet and associate professor of English at William and Mary, Hermine Pinson, recites and sings her poetry. Ms. Pinson seamlessly fuses blues, jazz and poetry to produce a unique and exciting experience. She will be accompanied by renowned guitarist Tomas Doncker and guest artists Harris Simon (keyboard), Terry Burrell (bass) and Billy Williams, Jr. (drums). The ensemble will perform selections from Pinsons, Changing the Changes, which includes original poems and songs created in collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa.

The program begins at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 8 and is free of charge. Tickets are not required. This concert is co-sponsored with the William and Mary Department of Multi-Cultural Affairs, and the Womens Studies Program.
