Moscow-born Alexeev has been playing the piano since he was five. He captured honors throughout his early career including taking a unanimous first prize at the Leeds International Competition. Since then, he has toured Europe, the U.S., Scandinavia, Japan, Australia, and Hong Kong. His extensive list of recordings includes the complete Rachmaninov Preludes for Virgin Classics.
