All programs take place in the Horchow Auditorium unless otherwise noted; book signings following the programs take place in front of the Museum Store.

Internationally acclaimed author Julia Alvarez will read from and discuss her recently published novel Saving the World, which probes the depths of politics, medicine, activism, and love. She is also a poet and the author of four previous books of fiction, including How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents and In the Time of the Butterflies. The recipient of many literary awards, Alvarez lives in Vermont, where she is writer-in-residence at Middlebury College
