Divers/Cité turns fifteen this summer, and like a true teenager, its festive spirit has never been hotter! Living up to its international reputation, this year’s Divers/Cité serves up five days of pleasure. Concerts span the musical spectrum of blues, jazz, pop, disco, rock, Latin, house, techno and electro. There’s also a film screening, dance performances, and drag and multimedia shows. All outdoors and all completely free!

With each exciting event, the energy, momentum and emotions will continue to build ; culminating in the festival’s big weekend celebrations. A new stage, located at the corner of Berri and René-Lévesque, will host the Sexgarage party on Saturday, August 4, featuring an exclusive electro-rock show by one of Europe’s coolest bands. That same evening, festival-goers can also opt for Sunset Party at Émilie-Gamelin Park, or check out what’s sure to be one of the year’s sassiest shows: Mascara, la nuit des drags. In honour of Mascara's tenth anniversary, Mado is sure to bring it as only she can!

The following day, starting at 3:00 P.M., the new Berri South stage will sizzle with eight hours of spicy Latin music and dancing for everyone as the event formerly known as Cachondo, la noche Latinabecomes Cachondo, la fiesta Latina. Also on Sunday, at the corner of Berri and Ontario, house and techno aficionados will gather by the thousands to get their groove on at La Grande danse, while disco and pop lovers can shake their bon-bons at the Grand Bal disco featuring Patsy Gallant and guests.

Another popular festival can’t-miss, 1, boulevard des rêves, returns Thursday, August 2 with some of Quebec’s most acclaimed and beloved musicians.

Finally, four decadent shindigs will carry the festivities well into the wee hours. Saturday, August 4, a new party called Post Sexgarage will bring a secret show and special guest to the National. Also that night : Lesbomonde is back at the Just for Laughs Museum! Sunday, August 5, the new Divers/Cité Party takes over Club Unity, followed by the Divers/Cité Ball. With crowds of festival-goers overcome by dance floor fever, this closing party is always a night to remember.
